Aftelier workbooks are the foundation of an in-depth study of Natural Perfumery with Mandy Aftel.

In the Natural Perfume Workbook Level One, the emphasis is on becoming deeply familiar with natural ingredients, refining olfactory abilities, and hands-on experimenting with combinations of ingredients. The student is guided through the process of making many, many accord experiments, the novice perfumer's equivalent of practicing scales.

The 400-page Advanced Workbook is divided into two volumes, which are purchased as a set. The exercises in this workbook familiarize the developing perfumer with the blending capacities of similar essences, introduce families of scents and refine the ability to distinguish between essences within each family.

The Natural Perfume Wheel teaches a vocabulary of scent, the foundation for conceptualizing and learning to create beautiful and sophisticated blends of natural fragrance.
