Antique French silver plate patch box from 1880's embossed with stunning hellebore with beautifully articulated leaves on the front. The back is embossed with three sprigs of roses. Beveled mirror in perfect condition. 1.5 inches across. Feels good in the hand and the price includes 1/4 oz (8 ml) solid perfume of your choice. Patch boxes came into use during the 18th century at the court of Louis XV, where the use of "beauty patches" was popular.
