Nineteenth century French Limoges enamel bronze round compact with beautiful hand-painted "Pre-Raphaelite" portrait of a lady. Her headdress is glowing and looks like it is lit from within. The portrait has a rope design bordering it, and the box itself has a double rope border and turquoise enamel ovals. Inside the box is the original beveled mirror in great condition with a rope detail surrounding it. The compact is marked, "Made in France". The edge of the box has a fancy floral design, and the back side (below the hinge) has a loop and can be worn as a pendant. . This case is 1.6" across the diameter and .5" deep, and the price includes 1/4 oz (8 ml) solid perfume of your choice
