Superb and rare! Scottish banded agate double-sided oval snuff box from late 19th Century. It is made from two beautiful pieces of multi-colored banded Scottish agate. It is usual to find one like this in sterling silver. There are two silver hallmarks on the right side of the box It has a tactile polish which only comes with great age & handling. It closes with a satisfying snap and feels good in the hand.This case is a 2" x 1.75" and holds one-quarter ounce (8 ml) solid perfume of your choice.
