Two-sided niello enamel antique watch case with chic checkerboard pattern. Monogramed shield-shaped cartouche in front. Delicate niello stripes on loop and niello diamond pattern encircling the rim. Over a hundred years old and many hallmarks including 0.800 (coin) silver and niello. Has a loop which allows it be worn as a locket. Engraved on the inside dated 1915 and included 10 medallions. Niello is a kind of enameling applied to silver focusing on the high contrast between the silver and the black. Has loop which would allow it to be worn on a chain. Please note several small patches of missing enamel and fading due to age. This case is 2" across, and the price includes a quarter ounce (8 ml) of solid perfume of your choice.
