Two-sided niello enamel antique watch case with lovely ornate rose gold cartouche on one side and beautiful horse on the other. Interlocking floral garland encircling both sides. Over a hundred years old and appears to be silver but no hallmarks. Niello is a kind of enameling applied to silver focusing on the high contrast between the silver and the black. Has loop which would allow it to be worn on a chain. Please note several small patches of missing enamel and fading due to age. This case is 2" across, holds a quarter ounce (8 ml) of solid perfume of your choice.
