Exquisite: One-of-a-kind signed Frainier embossed Art Nouveau antique French silver patch box circa 1900. On the front and back of the case we see two beautiful repoussé daisies, a flower bud and a few finely done leaves. Completely decorating the box is a rich, almost fingerprint texture which is embellished with a minute branch and berry motif. The mirror in great condition is surrounded by gilded rope edging. Has a ring which allows it to be worn as a locket and the inside of the box is covered in a vermeil. The box is 1.7 inches across, and the price includes 1/4 oz (8 ml) solid perfume of your choice.
The box xi signed "Frainier" on the front and back of the box. Frainier's execution of boxes was of superlative quality which is evident in the extraordinary workmanship on this elegant and singular piece. Frainier's success was immense but he choose to work by hand and remain small, and could not meet the worldwide demand for his work!
