Before attending my Advanced Class on Zoom, students learn the fundamental building blocks on their own by completing my Level 1 Workbook. The dates for this Advanced Class are announced to the list of students who have the Level 1 Workbook.
This class consists of 4 live Zoom sessions, scheduled on SATURDAYS at the following dates and times (PST)
August 8 : 10 am to 12:30 pm
August 15: 10 am to 12:30 pm
August 22: 10 am to 12:30 pm
August 29: 10 am to 12:30 pm
This class helps you develop the 3 foundational practices to becoming a skilled natural perfumer:
- Most important: the ability to edit and revise your perfumes.
- A thorough understanding of the blending capacities of perfume essences.
- How to think about perfume structure.
Right after each live Zoom session, you will make and remake your perfume for that session, with individual feedback from me on revising your formula. I make each student's perfumes myself and mail them to all the class members before the next session. In this way, the very valuable practice of learning from your classmates' blends takes place.
Each student in the advanced class needs to have all of the 45 essences in the Advanced Class Oil Kit. This meticulously selected set represents a wide range of odor families and the most useful blending essences to study with and use during the class, and continue to use as an invaluable resource in your ongoing art practice of creating perfumes. You can buy the essences as a set, or individually if you already have some of them. You will also use the 18 essences from the original Level 1 Oil Kit.
Please note that there are no refunds nor exchanges if you decide after paying not to attend the class. It is essential that you commit to the class; there is no way to substitute another student in your place. (The price of the class includes $100 to cover the cost of packaging and sending you 3 express shipments of all the other students perfume samples during the class).
