Niello rays radiate from a rose gold sun with niello stripes detailing the edging and glass.Sterling silver case over a hundred years old. Niello is a kind of enameling applied to silver focusing on the high contrast between the silver and the black. Has loop which would allow it to be worn on a chain. Window on one side. Please note several small patches of missing enamel, some chips and dents due to age. Six extraordinary detailed medallions on inner cover (see photo).
