Chef’s Essences® Flavor Drops
Ditch your dried out spices for delicious Chef's Essences Flavor Drops! The fresh flavorful part of a fresh herb or spice is the essential oil in the plant. These concentrated flavors have the upper hand over spices and herbs; they stay fresh longer then their traditional pantry counterparts, delivering a cleaner flavor. Substitute them for out-of-season herbs or unavailable spices; use 2 different Chef’s Essences together to create amazing new flavor combinations.
Chef's Essences Flavor Drops are fun, easy-to-use, and very economical -- a drop or two transforms an everyday dish into something utterly delicious. They enliven everything from soups, salads, and main courses to ice cream, cakes, and cookies. Chef’s Essence Drops come in a 5 ml dropper-cap bottle containing around 150 drops. Start by measuring a drop or two carefully into a spoon so you can count the drops. Then add it to the liquid you want to flavor—butter, cream, chocolate, batter, oil, sauce, vinaigrette, soup, stew, etc. The citrus oils (bergamot, grapefruit, lime, orange) should be kept in the refrigerator to preserve their flavor for a year. All other essences will keep two years at room temperature.
All of our Chef’s Essences are 100% pure & natural essential oils and extracts -- there is nothing else added. Most are either wild-harvested or farmed without pesticides in small batches using sustainable practices. We test dozens of oil samples from around the world to find the most flavorful varieties of fruits, citruses, herbs, spices, and flowers. Our Blood Orange is harvested in Italy, Bitter Orange from Tunisia, and Wild Sweet Orange from Dominican Republic. Our ginger oil is extracted in Indonesia from the fresh root -- not dried.
Our Chef's Essences are shipped from a food-grade bottler in Virginia. We are not a bulk supplier and do not provide MSDS or COA documents. The Apple, Apricot, Peach, Pear, Pineapple, Raspberry, and Strawberry flavors are for sale only in the US. All other flavors are for sale worldwide.
It's easy to make your own flavor sprays! In a small spray bottle, add 10% Chef’s Essence to high-proof vodka or Everclear, or even higher proof alcohol available [here].
Shake before use -- the spray is ideal for creating a cocktail or finishing a dish. A spray or two is delicious in salads, on vegetables or takeout food, for flavoring tea, and especially for mixed drinks -- really on anything, even chocolate bars! The depth of flavor is easy to control, one spritz at a time.
