(Aetoxylon sympetalum from Indonesia) Aetoxylon is a base note that smells like a decomposing fallen tree trunk in the woods. The essence evolves from damp earthy notes to softer, wood-like scents, with a touch of the scent of leather. Sustainably grown and distilled from the heartwood, the tree is from the same family as agarwood (aquilaria) trees.
