(Styrax Tonkinsis from India) Our benzoin absolute is wild harvested and comes to us in beautiful hard crystalline chunks. We heat it with 20% alcohol to render it pourable. So our benzoin is 80% benzoin absolute and 20% ethanol. The aroma of this base note is a flat, soft, rich vanilla that mixes beautifully with any other essence adding softness and sweetness.
