Before attending my Slow Scent® Natural Perfume Class on Zoom, students learn the fundamental building blocks on their own by completing my
Slow Scent® Natural Perfume Primary Workbook.
Then this class consists of 4 meetings, scheduled on SUNDAYS at the following dates and times (PST):
May 19: 10am-1:30pm
May 26: 9am-12:30pm
June 2: 9am-1:30pm
June 9: 9am-12:30pm
During class you will develop these 3 foundational practices that are central to becoming a skilled natural perfumer:
- How to understand the blending capacities of perfume essences
- How to create perfume structure
- How to edit and revise your perfumes
From 12:30 to 1:30 pm (right after zoom class meeting) on the first and third Sundays, you will make / remake a perfume, revising your formula based on my 64-page Perfume Class Companion.
I make both versions of all the students' perfumes myself and mail samples of them to each class member before the next session. We go over the perfumes together in class and I help improve the formulas, analyzing the dynamics of what's working and what isn't. In this way, you will learn valuable lessons from your classmates' blends. These sessions are fun, friendly, and not stressful or judgmental!
Each student in the zoom class needs to have all of the 48 essences in the Zoom Class Oil Kit. This meticulously selected set represents a wide range of odor families -- they are the most useful blending essences to study with and use during the class, and will be an invaluable resource in your ongoing art practice of creating perfumes. You can buy the essences as a set, or individually if you already have some of them. You will also use the 18 essences from the original Natural Perfume Oil Kit that goes with my workbook.
Please note that there are no refunds nor exchanges if you decide after paying not to attend the class. It is essential that you commit to the class; there is no way to substitute another student in your place. (The price of the class includes the cost of packaging and sending you 2 express shipments of all the other students' perfume samples during the class).
